Hira Hop

The first Hira Hop was held January 2022 and was the brain child of Deidre Prattley, the beloved Bar Manager at the Nelson North Country Club. Deidre was a classic car enthusiast and the proud owner of a 1956 Chev Belair.
With the help of Kevin Bannan and other members of the Nelson North Country Club, the event was put together in 6 weeks. It was a very successful event with classic cars coming from as far away as Christchurch.

12.00 - Club opens for Registration and refreshments
12.15 pm - Classic cars will start to arrive
1.00pm - Open the Hop, acknowledge all sponsors
1.00pm - Live Music by “Dougie” to 4.30pm
1.15pm - Wheel changing competition starts
1.30pm - Show & Shine / People’s Choice Judging commences
1.35 pm – Vehicle profile 1
2.30 pm – Best Dressed Pageant Male - Female
2.45 pm - Vehicle profile 2
2.45 pm- Reminder People’s Choice votes need to be in
3.15pm - Live Auction of donated items
3.30 pm – Vehicle profile 3
4.00pm - Prize Giving for Show & Shine and Peoples Choice.
